GetYourFont turns photos of handwriting into fonts. It is run by GetYourFont. Questions about your data: [email protected].

What we handle, and for how long

• Your photos and scans are used to make your font and deleted as soon as it's made.
• Notebook pages are sent to Google's Gemini AI (paid API) to read the words on them. Google doesn't use this data to train its models. The text it reads is deleted along with the page images once your font is made.
• Your letters and your font: the letter shapes we cut out and the font made from them. Fonts you haven't bought are deleted 30 days after you last opened them; fonts you bought are kept until you delete them, so you can download them again.
• Your email address, if you give it: at checkout, or to be told when your font is ready. We use it only for those messages, your receipt, sign-in links, and a note before an unbought font is deleted. No newsletters.
• Payments are handled by Polar (polar.sh), the reseller of your purchase. We receive the order and your email, never your card details.
• Abuse protection: to keep font-making free we count uploads per visitor using a one-way scrambled form of your IP address (never the address itself), and use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots.

Cookies and storage

We set one cookie, only if you sign in, to keep you signed in. Your browser remembers the fonts you made here (in local storage) so "My fonts" can show them. If we measure visits, it's with privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics that never see your font's link.

Who else is involved

Our hosting provider, Google (reading notebook pages), Polar (payments), Resend (sending email) and Cloudflare (bot check), each only for their part.

Your choices

You can delete a font at any time from "My fonts" (a font you bought: while signed in). To see, correct or delete anything else we hold about you, write to [email protected].
